Jeddah Corniche & Waterfront Sculpture Promenade
Stretching more than thirty kilometers along the crystalline coastline of the Red Sea, the Jeddah Corniche (Jeddah Waterfront) is the primary recreational artery of the kingdom's commercial capital. Completely revitalized under modern urban standards, the waterfront features broad pedestrian promenades, dedicated bicycle lanes, landscaped palm gardens, and civic piers extending out into the azure waters. A unique cultural highlight of the Corniche is its historic Open-Air Sculpture Museum, assembled in the 1970s by former Mayor Mohamed Said Farsi. Along the shoreline, travelers can view monumental bronze and marble sculptures created by world-renowned 20th-century artists including Henry Moore, Joan Miró, Alexander Calder, and Victor Vasarely. With family recreation bays, sunset dining terraces, and the adrenaline-fueled Jeddah Corniche Circuit that hosts the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the waterfront embodies Jeddah's relaxed, cosmopolitan coastal identity.
“A 30-kilometer coastal boulevard featuring pristine parks, cycling tracks, and an open-air modern sculpture museum.”
