Burj Khalifa & Downtown Dubai
Soaring majestically into the sky of Dubai, the Burj Khalifa is a global architectural triumph and the tallest building in the world at an astounding 828 meters (2,717 feet). Designed by Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the tower draws architectural inspiration from the desert spider lily (Hymenocallis) and Islamic geometric arches. Its tripartite Y-shaped footprint stabilizes the monumental spire against desert winds while maximizing panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and the surrounding dunes. Visitors journey upward in high-speed double-decker elevators traveling at 10 meters per second to the observation decks on levels 124, 125, and the ultra-exclusive level 148 (At The Top SKY). Above the clouds, floor-to-ceiling glass reveals the geometric layout of Downtown Dubai, the artificial archipelagoes of the Gulf, and the distant desert horizons. The tower also houses the world-renowned Armani Hotel, luxurious residential suites, and the world's highest lounge on levels 152 to 154. At its base, the Burj Khalifa Lake hosts the Dubai Fountain—a choreographed water, light, and music spectacle that shoots jets of water up to 150 meters into the air. Strolling along the Downtown boulevard under the shimmering glow of the Burj Khalifa provides the quintessential Dubai luxury experience.
“The undisputed pinnacle of human engineering, rising 828 meters as the tallest structure on Earth.”
