Khor Fakkan Amphitheatre & Mountain Waterfall
Located in the scenic eastern coastal exclave of Sharjah along the Gulf of Oman, the Khor Fakkan Amphitheatre and Waterfall is a monumental cultural landmark. Inaugurated in 2020 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the complex seamlessly blends Greco-Roman classical architecture with Islamic decorative stone design. Carved into the rocky base of Mount Sayed, the semi-circular amphitheater spans 1,700 square meters and can seat more than 3,500 spectators. Equipped with advanced acoustics and digital stage technologies, it hosts cultural performances and film festivals against the backdrop of the sea. Directly adjacent to the theater cascades a man-made waterfall 45 meters long and 11 meters wide, chiseled directly out of the natural mountain rock. At night, illuminated waterfalls tumble down into a coastal pool, creating a breathtaking visual spectacle along the Khor Fakkan coastline.
